One thing Guy and I have been talking a lot about lately is how he can find/make time to make art. As he is the one who watches Elio full time during the weekdays, when can he grasp time to get to the studio or go to the darkroom? In the evenings? Sure, but will he have the energy to work late into the night knowing that he has to watch an active 9-month-old in the morning? Weekends? Definitely, but it's also nice to have a weekend off and for the three of us to play together. Take a day out during the week and hire someone to watch Elio? A good possibility, but how do we find the right person who's willing to work just one or two days a week, and where do we find the money to pay him or her? It's a tough one, an ongoing conversarion, trying to find enough hours in the week and enough money in the bank. We're working on it. But in the meantime, Guy is making art, great, wonderful, fun art, even if he might not acknowledge it as such.
