Let Us Now Praise Summer Jammies

There is nothing more delicious than a little boy wearing his summer jammies. Round belly stretching the short-sleeved shirt taut. Knock-knees peeping out of the shorts, baggy from tossing and turning and, finally, sleep. Elio has several pairs of PJs that he's been wearing this summer. They are decorated with motorcycles and dump trucks, safari animals and dinosaurs. Motifs I never in a million years I thought I would dress my child in. And yet, they are my favorite things that Elio has ever worn. These pajamas, as he is, are just so quintessentially boy.
