Elio's words and ideas and stories and jokes are filling up our days, and I can tell that they're filling up his dreams too: sometimes he breaks into deep, happy laughter while he's fast asleep and then wakes up and starts immediately talking about something that happened the day before ("Mommy! Ball! Blue! Up! Oof! Dowwnnn!" -- translation: Mommy, remember at the playground yesterday? There was that blue ball? I held it up and then--oof!--I threw it down!). I will try to get back to recording some glimpses of this magical time. I don't want to lose it. Here, two pictures from this morning, when he and Guy stopped by the fountain at the Brooklyn Museum on their way to see the cherry blossoms at the botanic garden.
